  • This is a great and historic beach area! Visit at low tide to see a portion of the old highway, and get around the point. Watch for the incoming tide though!!
  • Beautiful views...loved the rocks to climb on, small cave like areas to explore and small waterfalls.
  • Pretty little beach. Its got that misty fog, and greenish sand. With some sand dollars here and there (although I wasn't able to find a full one). Nice little gem.

  • This place is such a hidden gem. Get here early because parking only holds maybe 40 vehicles. But that also keeps it uncrowded. I want to keep coming back here and exploring more. Just make sure you look up the tide tables. So you can see the pools and don't get trapped.
  • Went to Hug Point state park for the first time a few weeks ago. Weather was fantastic and got to see the old wagon trail that ran along the beach. The tide was low so we were able to walk to the next beach as well. Very easy beach access too.
  • Loved this beach. Took the kids and had a blast searching for sand dollars and building sand castles. Came in Sept. Weather still good and not crowded.
  • Hug Point didn't show up on many of my searches of places to visit on the Oregon Coast. It should have. Closer to Portland than some of the other popular spots (with the notable exception of Ecola State Park), this beach is beautiful. High cliffs with caves, a wide sandy beach, "hay stack" formations, and very easy access to the beach. I'm really glad I stopped
  • My favorite north coast beach. Not a very large parking lot so the crowds aren't often too crazy. At low tide you can walk around the north point to the next beach with a picturesque waterfall and creek. Some great tide pools.
