Rising 72 m (235 ft) above the Pacific shoreline, Haystack Rock serves as one of the Oregon Coast's most iconic monuments. You can reach the formation, known as a sea stack, at low tide from the beach. It plays home to an array of tide pool-dwelling creatures like crabs, starfish, and anemones. Visit the monolithic rock and the surrounding seaside area and partake of beachfront activities, such as picnicking, kite-flying, and enjoying nature. Bird-watchers should keep an eye out for the great number of species that periodically nest on and near the sea stack. Be sure to check local tide tables to ensure your safety and access to the rock. An astonishing work of nature. It's so weird to see huge rocks just jutting out of the ocean. Even in the rain and King Tide, it was still a great stop!

Went in early June and the weather was great. Parking was a little confusing, we ended up just stopping on a nearby road and walking down but was only a 5 minute walk! The beach itself is beautiful and I loved that there were wildlife safety attendants who made sure to keep people off of the rocks and to help us spot animals! Cannon Beach was just down the road with a bunch of cute shops and restaurants to walk in. Loved all of the flowers in bloom.

This place is unreal. There is plenty to see and explore. Really well kept and organized. There was a person there employed by the city to make sure everything went well and she was absolutely fantastic. Her name is Angela and she keep things under control while pointing out all the things to see and helping tourist not step on all the living organisms. She was great. I love this place. We spent quite a bit of time there and I am blown away by the experience. 5 stars for sure and a must see!

Beautiful beach. No litter (keep it that way!) And very dog friendly. Always windy, and always chilly. But beautiful and great for long walks on the beach. At low tide the volunteers that come out to keep people off the rock are amazing. They can teach you all about the wildlife that desperately need the safety of the rock to be protected.

The Haystack rock is a spectacular Natural wonder which is as majestic as the Pacific Ocean itself! The beach is beautiful and is a great place to take long strolls. There are lot of Sea gulls here and it's a great time pass watching them. Would like to come back here to catch the Sunset in this backdrop. Parking was a bit tricky here although it was not too crowded.

Make the time-Go! You won't regret it! We drove down from Seattle, had lunch in Astoria and then to the beach for a few hours in afternoon before heading to Portland Perfectly set up for tourists there's public bathrooms right near the Wayfarer restaurant. Which someone else mentioned on trip advisor is a great place to park and enter and I have to agree! I could spend HOURS here 😍👌 Definitely wear easy to wash off shoes as it's impossible to not get sandy and dirty.
