  • Very clean and well kept. Owner, Director, and full and part time staff very engaged in the operation, and Animal welfare. Owner was mingling with all visitors that Sunday we visited, May 7,2017. He h...  more »
  • I love that this small rescue zoo is so close and quaint. I much prefer this small zoo over the animal ed-venture place in Coats, NC bc it's much better taken care of and more professionally ran. The ...  more »

  • One-of-a-kind zoo for our area! My kids loved petting the giraffe while feeding it carrots. Loved the fact that you could see loads of animals without walking long distances. But the fact that it is a rescue zoo makes it worth the admission!
  • My 2 year old daughter LOVED coming here, my husband and I had a really good time also. The grounds are clean and the variety of animals is really cool! Feeding Stretch is not something you see at Zoos very often, I highly recommend checking this place out.
  • This was an awful place. The animals were kept in such poor conditions. The larger animals (tigers and bears) had very little room to roam and we're visibly distressed. In fact, most of the animals looked miserable. The reptiles' terrariums didn't look like they had been cleaned for months and had lots of flies swarming around inside the tanks. Most of the exhibits were unlabeled and there weren't many staff members around to direct you or talk about the exhibits. There also wasn't any sort of directory for you to use to find particular exhibits. They charge the same as other much larger, nicer zoos. Their animals are born and raised in captivity and treated very poorly.
  • A must for a family with small children. Owners are so friendly. This really is family ran and oriented. My family had a amazing time with a 2 year old who loved feeding the animals.
  • What a lovely place to spend the day! A perfect family day. Just the right size. Take a picnic and enjoy!
