Campbell's Field, Camden

4.1
Arena / Stadium · Tourist Spot
Campbell's Field was a 6,425-seat baseball park in Camden, New Jersey, United States that hosted its first regular season baseball game on May 11, 2001. The ballpark was home to the Rutgers–Camden college baseball team, and until 2015 was home to the Camden Riversharks of the independent Atlantic League of Professional Baseball. The naming rights were owned by the Camden-based Campbell Soup Company, which paid $3 million over ten years. Stadium demolition started in mid-December 2018.

The park, located at Delaware and Penn Avenues on the Camden Waterfront, featured a commanding view of the Benjamin Franklin Bridge connecting Camden with Philadelphia, Pennsylvania across the Delaware River. Views of the Philadelphia skyline could be seen from the right-field grandstand and via "Campbell's Field Cam", a stationary weather camera broadcast on KYW-TV.

  • NJ - Camden County and Rutgers are tearing down the field to put in new athletic fields for Rutgers University. Demolition began in December of 2018.  more »
  • Saw a few games here. Small park, but a nice trip to watch a AAA baseball game. Several farm teams come to play here. I believe it is the home field for a Yankees farm team that aren't too bad.  more »
  • It's a fun place too go with the kids and watch baseball! Cheap tickets and family friendly. Definitely eat before you go, it is expensive .  more »

  • Was there during a softball tournament and had alot of fun.
  • I had probably the best seats you can get. I sat right behind home plate. Tons of foul balls came close. You could see each pitches movement from your seat! Great view of the bridge and the city. Probably one of my favorite minor League/ college ball parks. By the way the stadium is now home to the Rutgers baseball team.
  • Nice ballpark very well kept. Needs a new team to call home again.
  • Beautiful stadium...would be nice if they could get a MLB minor league team to call it home. Riversharks were ok, the league was boring...could be a nice opportunity for the stadium.
  • Can't wait for there to be a new team to call it home.
