Adventure Aquarium Reviews
Generally this aquarium is clearly for families with children, from the exhibits to the food hall - it is all set up to be accessible and kid friendly. However we had a lovely time. All the staff were... more »
It is a good place to come with small children. Lots of hands on experiences- touching sharks, stingrays. Walking over the shark tank. Watching the fish, and many other sea creatures. Our favorite was... more »
Loved the hippos. First place we have ever visited where they had them. Took a lot of pictures of them. more »
I definitely would recommend this aquarium. It is exactly how an aquarium should be--exciting and fun for the whole family. You can buy tickets online so you don't need to wait in line. There are various food options available or you could bring your own food. Parking is $10 and if you're a member I hear you only pay half that price for parking and tickets. I almost bought membership even though I don't live close! I hope I could take more people here in the future. I especially love the available animals I was able to interact with. Plus, they have lockers by the restrooms you could rent $3 per token per locker.
Nice place for adults and kids but admission is a little pricey. Walking distances aren't too bad and the shows are okay. Gift shop could be better. Didn't eat at the food courts but they looked appetizing. Overall, I would recommend people who live 2 hours or less to visit as it isn't that amazing that you should travel longer than 2 hours to visit. Nice for an afternoon trip.
We did the penguin encounter! It was awesome! They painted pictures with their feet then tried to untie my shoes and eat my hair. Rule is they can touch you but you can't touch them. Totally fair, but challenging to obey. Mary and Nelson were our hosts and they were fantastic, familiar with the different personalities and care so much about all their charges. The aquarium itself isn't too big, but has enough interesting exhibits to spend most of the day.
This was my 3rd or 4th time visiting The Adventure Aquarium and we (myself and my two sons) have always enjoyed our outings there. As a matter of fact, we (myself & my oldest son) were there last week. Each time that we have visited, we were able to identify new and interesting features of the aquarium. We have always had fun there. Furthermore, I can honestly say, that we have always come away wanting to visit the aquarium again.
Great for my 4 year old daughter.. touching the sharks and stingrays. Seeing the hippos and sea turtles and large sharks. She enjoyed walking through the shark tunnel and walking the shark bridge. She also enjoyed the face painting
