  • Drove through the park and did a bit of hiking. This is a beautiful park with lots of interesting trails.  more »
  • The top of the hill has 2 nice lookout points of the Bay. It was worthwhile to get a birds' eye view & then walk around Camden & get closer to the water.  more »
  • On a clear and sunny day you can see forever. Mountains, ocean, lakes, and wildlife. We chose to drive up but the walk is very doable. So worth it.  more »

  • Nice campground. Fairly hot showers, nice sites, and well maintained. A bit pricey for a State Park Campground. We paid $40 a night for basic/bare bones site. Nice bike ride into town, real close to shops/restaurants and the Mt. Battie trail. I would agree with another reviewer that not all sites are level and we parked our RV (20ft) on what should have been just a tent site. We showed up last minute, and they told us to just drive on the grass. It was okay, but we almost got stuck trying to gain traction out of the site. Make sure you check the site before agreeing to park an RV at it. That being said, we would stay again.
  • Over a rainy late May Wednesday and Thursday we had a glorious time. While Thursday was cloudy, it did not rain and allowed us the benefit of a mildly challenging hike on their nature trail. This turned out to be a bit more than expected but was still a great adventure. The staff at the park is super friendly, with a sense of humor. We enjoy them immensely. The park is very clean with rest room/shower areas equally clean.
  • I wish I could give this CG a higher rating but the slope of many of their sites prevents me. We were treated so well by the park staff (they should get a "10" rating) and they worked out the uneven site issue with moving us to another site that fortunately had no last minute reservations, but be careful when booking a site here--the slope may make it incapable of leveling your motorhome (we have a 30' Class A).
  • Loved the view from the top, got a bunch of great photos. We were only there to see the view, ended up staying 30 minutes, and had to pay $12, which seems a bit excessive for what it is. Apparently the hiking is quite good, and there is a better vantage point higher up.
  • Good time. Nice clean camp site. Intense mountain climb for the non experienced. Nice views.
