This reopened recently and it is now a beautiful and powerful museum. You could even sit at a table and study in the lobby for a bit, or read a book. It is nice. I would recommend going twice if you want to see the entire collection. If you're a Harvard student, admission is free, if I remember correctly. Way to go!
Thoughtful collection of well curated pieces and helpful descriptions. Medium sized museum so you can pretty much cover the whole thing in one day or less.
Collections are strong and diverse, but it feels as though pieces are presented to check off boxes in a textbook. The galleries make it all feel a bit sterile. Worth seeing but quite expensive and Harvard isn't really hurting for money
Great collection for impressionism artwork. The building itself is nice too
Very diverse set of exhibits. I was especially drawn to the aboriginal art. Also just a very attractive building.
