Stretching for 129 km (80 mi) through Massachusetts, Charles River reaches the sea in the city of Boston and is one of the area's key landmarks. The winding waterway, once at the forefront of the United States's industrialization, today provides many opportunities for recreation, such as rowing, sailing, and biking. • It's fun to run along the Charles River up to Harvard and around the other side to MIT. The river is chock full of crew boats whose rowers are university students in s or Boston.  more »
  • If you are in Cambridge this is a great jogging, walking path. It is safe and in the spring the rowers are all over.  more »
  • You can go as far as 17 miles or as short as 3 miles. I absolutely love the atmosphere and the view. Highly recommended.  more »
