  • Nice boardwalk stroll with great views of the shoreline and rolling hills. Great if you have dogs. It's about a mile each way, and quite lovely at sunset.
  • We just discovered this "diamond of a spot" on our trip to Cambria. We love walking Moonstone Beach, but did not know of this area that actually sits above Moonstone Beach, looking down on the cliffs....  more »
  • A great stop for a restful stroll. The ocean views are breathtaking. Sometimes you can see otters, dolphins, and whales.

  • Very nice hiking trails. You can go through the forest or out to the beach. Scenic views and wildlife, foxes, deer, turkeys, bobcats and bird. Trails for bicycles.
  • Lovely walks, with nice trails and abundant wild plants. Several lovely wooden benches. Lookouts over the rocky beaches below and see sea birds and seals below. Lovely.
  • Place is covered in disease spreading deer ticks. Don't go anywhere off the main trail and you will minimize your chances of getting Lyme disease, which is a serious lifelong condition.
  • How can you say no to this beautiful preserve with trails everywhere and right along the beautiful Pacific ocean. It's so great to be able to walk along the cliffs with the ocean roaring beneath you and then stroll up the hill into the woods. Usually pretty low key and the people you meet on the trails are friendly. Most of the paths are bicycle friendly as well, which is great. Dogs are allowed as well and waste bags are readily available at multiple entrances. One of our favorite places to frequent on the Central Coast. You can even drop onto the Santa Rosa Creek Trail from the backside of the preserve.
  • Beautiful view from the trail along the bluff above the ocean! Unique benches placed along trail for a chance to sit and enjoy the view or for a photo opp! Easily walkable or a nice mile+run loop.
