  • We loved visiting on a Friday autumn afternoon! Our favorite part was that many of the wines were named after the horses at the rescue farm on the Batting Hollow Vineyard premises. The staff was frien...  more »
  • Visited here recently on a wine tour. We spend a great deal of time on the North Fork, and I'm familiar with many of the wineries. I had never been here before....and I doubt that I will ever return. ...  more »
  • About 2PM this past Sunday, we went there after being disappointed by the lack of anything going on at the winery just to the west. Wondered if this place would be as empty and devoid of music, people...  more »
  • First off, this review is a little biased because I love the fact that Baiting Hollow donates to horse charities. Their stable is beautiful, and I love the picnic area. That being said, I have never been to a winery that hosts a wedding and doesn't shut down for it. We went on Mother's Day and in one tent was Mother's Day brunch with a wedding right inside the tent next door, with the wedding-goers traipsing in and out of the tent to the tasting room. It wasn't too bothersome for me, but I'd be pretty mad as the bride. Love the live music and the ambiance. The wine is decent, but my favorite but definitely but in the bottom five. Their tastings are a little high priced, but such is the North Fork, and who can say no to the horses?
  • Great spot for a wine tasting with some good snacks...try the merlot meatballs. Also have pony rides and tours of the rescue horse paddock.
  • Miserable; over priced wine; bad customer service from the "manager" herself. In no way did her service promote wanting to buy wine or spend money based on how miserable she made us feel. This was followed up by another superviser scolding us for finding the wrong area shade in 95 degree weather, because we weren't close enough to the horse poop. The wine didn't taste good or refreshing which it should have considering the heat and buzz going on. If you want to be treated second class, coerced into spending money, and taste crappy wine with the aroma of horse crap come here. Big not, Don't waste your time.
  • We are doing the Annual Wine Tasting Trip to the North Fork every year visiting 3 vineyards. We love it and always have a great time, especially at the Baiting Hollow with its famous horse rescue farm. The people there are great, the service is great.
  • I've been to Baiting Hollow 5 times and each time the experience and wine were magnificent. The music, atmosphere and people are fantastic. Dr. Gennaro Giammarino, III
