  • Lively place, live music. One is not allowed to bring own food. Didn't have any with us today, so it was not a problem. Wine was pretty good for Long Island, we had Merlot Rose.
  • Found this place a 1 1/2 yrs ago on a return from another vineyard. My wife and I were overly impressed that the smaller vineyard offered more. The staff is friendlier and more eager to please. Owners and management always present and "supervising" the assure a pleasant experience to all. After we got to know the programming and entertainment offered by other vineyards, we realized that Baiting Hollow Vineyards has more entertainment events than any other vineyard. Even a bigger surprise, NO COVER charges! Always quality entertainment. An added plus, the horse rescue. You know you're helping to make the world a better place by patronizing the "Best Vineyard on Long Island!"
  • Fun place with food. Outdoor area large enough. Wine is decent but they got beer too. Next door to LIV vodka and whiskey
  • If I could give this place 0 stars I would! We went there yesterday for my birthday and the staff there was BEYOND rude and disrespectful. We had a large group and did the responsible thing and had designated drivers. The drivers were drinking coffee outside and their staff threaten to call the police. They said and I quote "they can buy water inside." How about as an establishment that serves alcohol they appreciate people doing the right thing. It's not like we brought a different type of wine. I have been to many other vineyards that had no problems with people having their own food and drink. We were at the distillery right before and they had no issue with people drinking coffee. I will proceed to tell everyone I speak to to never ever ever go to these place. Management should be horrified that my staff acted like that.
  • First off, this review is a little biased because I love the fact that Baiting Hollow donates to horse charities. Their stable is beautiful, and I love the picnic area. That being said, I have never been to a winery that hosts a wedding and doesn't shut down for it. We went on Mother's Day and in one tent was Mother's Day brunch with a wedding right inside the tent next door, with the wedding-goers traipsing in and out of the tent to the tasting room. It wasn't too bothersome for me, but I'd be pretty mad as the bride. Love the live music and the ambiance. The wine is decent, but my favorite but definitely but in the bottom five. Their tastings are a little high priced, but such is the North Fork, and who can say no to the horses?
