  • Bates Nut Farm is a 3 generation Family tradition with our family for mid October. My parents took me here every October, and I have been taking my own kids for the last 16 years. They are ridiculously crowded on weekends, but weekdays are still pretty open. They have a beautiful and (still semi) remote location. They have hay rides, a corn maze, petting zoo, live musical entertainment, a little farm zoo, a great pumpkin patch, a ton of picnic tables under beautiful fruitless Mulberry Trees, an awesome country store where you can stock up on the tastiest candy and nuts, bounce houses, and plenty more. It's a great place to take your kids to get their pumpkins for halloween.
  • Let's start at the beginning. Parking is easy. 5$ on weekends. There is cones sectioning everything off and signs everywhere to direct you. There is a very large selection of activities and good food vendors. We got pulled bbq sandwiches and although simple it was delish. We ate at a picnic table next to the little band they had playing. They have plenty of space and tables to eat at. The store was packed and yet we got our items and got out of there in about 5-10 minutes. There's a pretty large variety of candies and nuts. They also had some Christmas stuff out. Our last stop was at the pumpkin patch; I love that they have plenty of places for photo ops. We picked a pumpkin out of the 7 dollar lot and got a very decently sized one. All in all to conclude this visit, it was great. Had a wonderful time with the Family and we plan on returning next year for sure.
  • This place is fantastic for adults and kids. So much fun to feed the animals! Cool shops and great cooking items/snacks. Definitely worth a trip!
  • Fun place to go visit for a few hours on a Fall weekend. I went with my girlfriend just before Halloween, and we picked up some pumpkins from the pumpkin patch and enjoyed the Halloween activities and booths that were set up.
  • Fun place to visit on a weekend when they are hosting a special event, but it can also be extremely busy. We went to the pumpkin patch several weeks before Halloween and it was busy but manageable. Tried to go again a couple weeks later and gave up because the line to get in was miles long.
