  • Avenue of the Giants is an unbelievable experience. Beautiful wonders of nature and fun to drive. This is one of the best things Northern California offers. Definitely worth a longer detour.  more »

  • Quite an experience. Fun to ride your bike on the ~30-mile road. Take a hike, relax and enjoy. The campground was not full, but we went back later in the summer and could not get a spot.  more »

  • Still the most beautiful place on earth!
  • Wonderful drive through the redwoods. We went on a weekday and had the road to ourselves.
  • The road parallels the main highway pretty closely, but you can drive right next to the huge trees that block out the sunlight. It's an incredible experience to be so close to the trees and definitely worth the little detour. There are several places you can get back on the highway along this road, so even if you only have time to take in a few miles, do it!
  • These Hugh trees will make you cry!!! Awesome!
  • This is a route that needs to be taken. Take the extra 1/2hr and see just how many groves of Redwoods there are.
