  • Nice course that is in very good condition now. The greens are in particularly great shape. Nice pace of play, reasonably priced, and they have a par 6 finishing hole. Enjoy.

  • My round at the Farmstead was not without hesitation. I had been recommended this course by my hotel concierge, but when I pulled up, the fairway facing the road had SEVERAL dirt patches in the fairway. What was I getting myself into? Plus, the 15 cars in the parking lot told me something wasn't right. Well, I guess they are "transitioning" grasses right now, announced by big signs in the pro shop. Even the guy working the counter wasn't thrilled with the conditions when I asked him. But I had pre-paid for the round, so here we go... This course is really fun. Not terribly exciting, but you could see it could have been a really premium track if not for the conditions. So only 4 stars for that. But I did have an amazing round (even if I did play it alone), the greens were in great shape, and there were plenty of tricky pin placements. Oh, and I was done in 3.5 hours. An extra bonus. Lastly, ask for grilled onions on whatever you order from the grill - my chicken sandwich was worth an extra half-star alone!
  • Played here while on vacation in Myrtle Beach. The course was well maintained besides a few dead patches on fairways and greens here and there, which were hardly noticeable. The course has a few challenging holes, but overall it is a fairly easy course. The only complaint I have is when we arrived for our 7:50 tee time, they had let a group of five go ahead of us (a group of two), which slowed play down considerably the entire day. There were two or three groups behind this fivesome, and they refused to let anyone play through. I am guessing this group of five was made up of club members, but I still think it was inconsiderate of the players and the club to let a group of five dictate the speed of play for the day. Overall I'd say this course is a 3.5 star.
  • Very nice course. Greens were in great shape and rolled true. Fairways were also very green and nice to play from. Roughs were short and just starting to green up. Nice cart paths. Enjoyed playing here.
  • The course was in great shape. The only knock was that there wasn't anyone out selling cold drinks, and our round was a hot one!
  • Very nice course, was in great shape. Fairly open layout but enough danger points to make it interesting. Greens were running nice, not to fast not to slow. Clubhouse and staff were excellent. Even in the Soaking rain this course was playable. Will be playing here again.
