  • It was the worst course I have been playing in Myrtle Beach, poor fairways, green not well maintained but the layout of the course was interesting. Don't bother going there, you can do a lot better an...  more »
  • I got a hot deal on golf now for this course. Glad I did because it was in terrible shape. No grass on the greens. Spray painted green. Fairways were very soft. I'm sure they are recovering from hurri...  more »
  • I played Carolina Shores years ago and it was one of the finest in NC, not the case now. The layout is what I remembered, you played one hole without seeing another hole or golfers, that is the only t...  more »

  • After looking around on golfnow we found Carolina shores to be a decent deal. On hole #5 our golf cart died, had to call the clubhouse. At the turn, our group of four, their golfcart died (barely made it back). We stopped to get a hotdog and something to eat at the turn around 2:30-3:00, they had no hotdogs left, so we had to wait on a sandwich to be made. We teed off on #10 half way down the fairway and our second golf cart died. I know this was a week or two after hurricane Matthew, but they had trees halfway across the fairways and Ruff cart paths with fallen trees blocking the path way.
  • Just went here thanks to a Groupon, paid $25 for 18 and a cart. Drove and hour to play here and once I got there I just wanted to turn around. Tee boxes were nothing pretty along with all the dead grass and hard clay dirt in the fairways. Greens were just as bad as the tee boxes which were difficult to tell the difference between the grass lengths in tee boxes and rough and also fringe to green. Only played 9 of the paid 18 and just had no desire to play through the first 9. Cart paths looked to be damaged by a meteor shower so I drove along the rough instead. This course COULD be a very nice course if it were just maintained better, layout was nice with nice surroundings but that's about the only good thing to say about it also with very friendly staff.
  • the allow you to walk and only charge 15 dollars after 2 if you decide to walk. nothing fancy about this place, just a good tight golf course. obviously its not a comparison to oyster bay or other courses in the area on the water. but in terms of affordable golf this place is the best lower tier course at the beach hands down. don't let the price fool you though its not easy
  • This was the worst looking and maintained course 8 of us have ever played. Tee boxes were trashed and greens were a complete bumpy, moldy, mangled mess. Cigars we bought were actually mold covered and not exaggerating. Club house was out of golfballs and no lefty gloves. Waste of money and time, left after 8 holes just couldn't take the joke anymore.
  • The staff couldn't be nicer and more accommodating ! Love the lay out! We have already booked to play a 2nd day in a row here. Rates are excellent - great deal - hidden gem! Played every club in the bag here.
