  • I took my 11 year old daughter for her second time skiing. Bunny hill was good for beginners, but the next step up is quite a jump. My daughter was able to use 3 of the other chair lifts by the end of the day. Had a lot of fun overall. My only complaint was that we couldn't get to some runs of the mountain without having her go through a steeper "mogul" section. After that part, there were some additional areas we wanted to go, but there was snow fencing up preventing you from crossing over. I felt there should be somewhere to crossover safely, lots of room. Facilities were good, food prices were reasonable and staff was helpful. There are some good scenic views and a little trick park if you're into that. Oh, the rental equipment was of good quality and they let my daughter take a helmet, so that was a plus. I'd recommend this place for intermediate skiers and up.
  • Caberfae offers a large, well-groomed stage for skiing and snowboarding at a reasonable price. We stayed for several days and had consistent experiences each day. Runs were well-groomed, lift lines were nearly nonexistent. The restaurants are all good and not outrageously overpriced. You can get some pretty good food and good service, but don't expect a ton of variety on the food. The day lodge is really big and nice and the roaring fire is an added bonus. The main lodge offers nice amenities like ski lockers, a pool/hot tub open nightly, and decently large rooms but the beds are pretty terrible if sleeping on a hard, bouncy, true spring mattress is not your thing. The bathroom alcove is really small as well. There's a mini-fridge in the room but no microwave or coffee maker, though there is one in the lobby. The room stayed warm and we could not easily hear others around us, but I think if we had been there over the weekend that may have been a different story. Some of our friends did not have hot water in the mornings but I had no trouble with water temperature or pressure when showering in the evenings. The main lodge could benefit from some updates for sure but overall I think it's a fine value. Tip: buy your lift tickets with your room reservation, and that cannot be done through a third party vendor.
  • Lots of Nostalgia. This is the Oldest remaining Ski area in the Lower Peninsula. The facilities are clean and maintained better than most other ski areas. The SkyView Day Lodge having cozy fireplace and restrooms, with easy access to the Green Mt. bunny hill leading to the 2 East Peak Lifts (upgrade for 2022-23). Well Groomed, Beginner Terrain Park. Very good web site. Did not get into other buildings. Maybe next trip.
  • The staff at the resort and in the lodge were very friendly and helpful! The mountain was great along with the prices! The rooms in the Mackenzie Lodge we simple and basic, but clean and nice. This place definitely deserves 5 stars but the mattresses were absolutely terrible! Overall definitely would recommend and will definitely be back again!
  • This place was cool, staff were helpful and knew what they were doing, hills were awesome except I think there should be a hill between the bunny hill and beginner. It goes from a tiny hill to a large hill that seems too advanced for beginners. Also the line is right at the bottom and I saw people not being able to stop running into the line. Other than those minor things the place was great we had a blast !
