  • Chose the Telemark Resort because very few of the RCI resorts allow dogs. This one has a couple of units that they allow you to bring dogs. Make sure to contact them in advance so they can put you in ...  more »
  • The Old Telemark is no more. It is the current understanding that the resort hotel itself is closed and will likely never be reopened due to ongoing levels of deterioration. The Birkie Cross-country S...  more »
  • Although this resort has few amenities, it provides a great quiet get-away to some the best scenery in the mid- west. Excellent food is available at resorts and restaurants within 20 miles.  more »
  • This place is definitely in rough shape. With the constant closures and everything, it's a miracle it still stands. The employees are doing a lot with the little they have. The rooms have a definite upgrade. The fresh furniture and updated bedding are wonderful. Staff is friendly. It's the building that brings it down. Water stains on ceiling tiles, peeling paint, bubbling carpet. The place is like a cheap rip off of The Shining. I would still recommend the place for the marathoner, the outdoors people. The place is best described a tarnished silver. It gets the job done but is ugly doing it. But give it some time and effort (and about a million dollars) and that place will be polished silver again.
  • Their website boasts excellent customer service. Well we had to cancel our first night (weeks in advance) and when we came to check in on the revised night we were told since we cancelled the previous night, they won't let us check in early...really?! When we talked to the general manager, Robin, he said that they lose too much money checking people in early....seriously?! Definitely get a zero on customer service. Also, the website said that they get cable TV. Try a snowy screen and about 5 channels. When we called the front desk, they said that the reception won't get much better. NEVER coming back again. Will be telling all my Minneapolis friends to not come here and go to Lutsen instead.
  • I was here for the Birke with some friends and this place was amazing. It does need some small updates and improvements but overall this place has so much space and great features that made it so much fun to stay at. I thought the it looked great for being closed most of the past year. It is a shame they are having financial problems because the attractions it has are amazing. Airport, golf course, swimming pools, tennis, downhill skiing, many km of nordic ski trails, beautiful northwoods forests- what's not to like?? I hope they can get it turned around and stay in business because it would be sad to see a great place like this go...
  • Great staff excellent service. Planning next years stay. Food was beyond belief, huge portions.
  • so great, oh my god!!
