  • The building housing this mineral collection is impressive. Nice basic collection of minerals and mineralogic information. The displays are well labeled. So glad I had the chance to stop by!  more »

  • An awesome variety of geology and siesmology exhibits. A must visit for anyone who has visited the Natural History Museum in New York City. Special thanks to John.
  • Fabulous! A must visit in Butte .
  • Building is mapped in the right place... Great collection.
  • Google shows the Mineral Museum in the Natural Resources Building on the Montana Tech Campus which is totally wrong. The Museum is the fourth building to the left of the Marcus Daly Statue. How do you correct Google?
  • The museum has a fascinating collection, it would have been enough just to see it, but by far the best part of the experience was the curator (or the assistant we never learned which). His knowledge and ancedotes made the experience memorable. He gave us valuable information about rockhounding and gem hunting that will enhance our future expeditions. Well worth the time, fun and enlightening.
