  • If you're in Butte, MT, USA (and you should be at least once in your life), you GOTTA be at Headframe Distilling! This very cool, extremely atmospheric (I remain convinced that David Lynch should have set Twin Peaks here, and I say that as a guy who lived where he actually DID set it at the time) old mining town is a western Montana treasure and Headframe is a real find. Situated on one of downtown's main streets, its tasting room is inviting and the woman I spoke with, Mo, turned out to know several other people I eventually ran into during my short visit to three mining towns in western MT. While I quaffed the Irish Coffee she created for me (using their bourbon), I sampled the vodka and gin. While I was not as crazy about the gin - they take a very unusual approach to it, avoiding the juniper - the vodka came home with me. This is by far the smoothest, richest vodka you will EVER taste!! (My previous favorite was Tito's for a national brand, or a couple of Portland, OR, USA's local products.) Mo also filled me in on Headframe's history and future plans, and it's all quite impressive. But, hey, don't take it from me....get on up to Headframe Distillery and let Mo fill you in. Seriously!
  • What an awesome place. Their spirits are fantastic. Very very flavorful and quite smooth. Every sip leaves you wanting another. The staff was great and very fun to talk to. Super friendly environment with a wonderful decor. Everything was very well priced. Lookin forward to going back.
  • Worth the stop, return trip or special destination planning. The people are top notch (especially the sweety behind the bar) and their spirits are tasty. I wanted to try a pint or two of the Dirty Girl but didn't have time for that experience. I see a return trip with an overnight stay and extended layover with Headframe Spirits as the #1 destination. Thank you.
  • Great local distillery love the headframe crew. There staff is made up of great people. Gotta check out drink of the week.
  • Great drinks with an awesome atmosphere at a great price.
