Historic Walking Area
The Ethan Allen Homestead Museum is dedicated to preserving the story of Ethan Allen, as well as his impact on the founding of Vermont and the creation of the United States. At his historic homestead in Burlington, docents take guests through the Allen house and use the artifacts to tell the story of life on the Vermont frontier in the 1780s.

The Ethan Allen Homestead is open daily from 10am-4pm, May 1st through October 31st. Admission is $10 for Adults and $9 for Seniors. Students aged 5-17 pay $6.

  • Interesting but not for kids. It's a tour with long explanations of every thing. Tour guide was clearly irritated that my kids were there.
  • We arrived after it was closed for the season however the director was on the premises and gave us a tour anyway. I learned more about American history during our visit than in any class I ever took.
