Science Museum
Home to more than 70 species of amphibians, reptiles, and fish, ECHO, Leahy Center for Lake Champlain will give you an engaging education about the Lake Champlain Basin. Head into the action lab to build virtual mountains, lakes, and rivers with your hands, then take a virtual tour of Lake Champlain's most prominent features. In other exhibits, view displays containing lake inhabitants, such as frogs, snakes, turtles, and big fish, such as sturgeons. Make sure you check the schedule for the theater; films focus on topics such as species that inhabit the lake and surrounding area and Native American tribes indigenous to the region. Before you leave, look over the natural science-themed games and toys in the gift shop. Purchases here support the center's mission of preserving and educating people about Lake Champlain Basin. • Very warm and lively place for kids with lots of aquatic animals in display. They also provide space for early learning readiness program which is a great cause for preparing little babies and kids for school readiness. Lively place. They keep changing some of the exhibits on quarterly basis which makes kids more excited about the place. Great fun čĹî
  • This is a great place for kids and adults. There's a pay to park, parking lot. If you plan to go here more than once it's worth getting the year pass, their pass works at other museums such as Boston Children's Museum and Boston Science Museum amongst many others
  • What a little Green Mountain gem! Saw the Butterfly exhibit with exotic butterflies. Such fun. Offers good family fun and educational experience learning about our local eco- system. Geared toward elementary aged kids, but my teen and pre-teen enjoyed it as well.
  • Very interactive. Take the little one(s) and expect them to play spend a good 2-3 hours easily. Well worth it with the amount of fun we've had.
  • Great experience as always, the current (2017) butterfly exhibit was awesome and the tree house/market/cafe/ferry play area is a big hit with the kids.
