  • Our family have been members at the GEHC for a number of years and we always find something new to do there. If you're local, the membership is highly recommended so you can take advantage of all the programs and events. Highlights are the Honeybee Festival, Creatures of the Night and the night hikes. My kids have also gone to the camps, which they love.
  • Do not get married here! It is a beautiful place but keep your money. They nickel and dime you to death. They were an hour late opening the doors for us to set up and all the tables and chairs were not even put out like they promised they would be. Putting us way behind. On top of that they started cleaning up when we had 2 hours left so guests started leaving thinking the reception was over. We were not able to dance let alone have our first dance in front of our loved ones. I hate that I missed out on that and I will never get that back. Also, on a side note if you plan on having alcohol even wine be prepared to shell out $35 an hour totaling $350 or more for a security. Take it from me and find a different venue.
  • Great place to learn more about the water recycling process, nature and history. There are wonderful hands-on learning tools as well. We will definitely visit again.
  • Went on a tour with a first grade field trip. Our guide Ms. Sherry was very attentive and fun for the kids. The facility is very organized and has lots of opportunities to learn about new things.
  • We had our annual fundraising event for the Northeast Georgia Chapter of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation here last night. The accommodations were fantastic but aside from that, the offerings of this facility are really educational and REALLY fun. It's a fairly friendly environment that is entertaining and can be a great teaching tool for the kids (and adults) without even realizing that you are learning.
