  • Great place to walk through any season, great views of the waterfront. Climb up to the top of the observation tower for fantastic views and a great place to sit during your lunch hours. Plenty of parking, places to sit during the nice weather.
  • “Gorgeous” Great place to walk with friends, family, or a date! There are two or three restaurants on the water and an ice cream stand as well! There is also a tower that offers a great view of the lake. Its located very close to many things including Canal side, First Niagara Center, and downtown Buffalo in general!
  • This is a unique location within the city of buffalo. While there is always a crowd which limits parking, it is a very nice stretch of pier to walk, especially at sunset - look to the west over the lake to see the sun setting in brilliant reds and blues. I would recommend climbing the observation lighthouse at the end of the pier. Not only can you look out and see roughly five miles each direction from this vantage point, you get an excellent view of the city skyline, and Canada as well. Fun additional fact, all concrete buildings on the property including the lighthouse, are of the iconic buffalo Brutalist architectural style.
  • One of the cool place at Erie street near the lake. From the tower very good view lake & cityscape building & road. Bad thing is some people came here for hash smoke & drink which is really embarrassing.
  • Great place to walk with the kids. You can make a whole day of walking from the marina over to the Naval park then to Canal Side. You can even keep going and walk to River Works. Then slowly stroll back to the marina which is usually the best place to park if you plan to see all the sights listed above. The Hatch serves hotdog and hamburger type food and has an ice cream shop attached. You can also get adult beverages to enjoy while sitting by the water where there is usually live music or a DJ when the weather is permitting. There is a new more upscale restaurant next to it called William K's which I have not tried yet.
