  • Beautiful, warm and just about everything one would want in a hot springs adventure. Family friendly.  more »
  • We ventured out to the hot springs at Cottenwood after a full day rafting trip. It was well worth it and a great place to relax plus warm up after being on the river!  more »
  • Facilities were average. The pools were nice temperatures & it was a relaxing experience. Felt nice after a long day of hiking. Place near the pools to store your stuff. It was a fine experience, but ...  more »

  • Very nice, the pools aren't a very nice temperature. They go from about 95 and below to 106 and above which is a huge jump with nothing in between. The men's changing area is absolutely terrible. Very nasty and smells like urine. You have to walk through the middle of the changing area to get to the sauna, with only a shower curtain blocking anyone that is changing. It is just a little run down and not very well kept. A nice place to go if you like colder water or super hot springs. My wife got a massage here and said it was nice so there's that.
  • My first natural hot springs, so I'm no expert, but I enjoyed it. Some of the pools had a lot of little flecks floating around in them, but I feel like that's to be expected in a natural pool with no chemicals. The hotter pools were cleaner (clearer). Facility has decent showers, toilets, and changing rooms.
  • Cottonwood Hot Springs Inn & Spa is great. Just be aware that it is a ecofriendly Hotel that has some limitations. I went here with my girlfriend in June to soak for a day and go rafting at the near arkansa river. When staying overnight you recieve a two day hot spring pass so we where able to soak on the check-in day too. (btw check in was already available at 2pm). You also get to go soak all night so after getting back late at night we where still able to soak. The pools are set in stone which makes it nice to sit in. We also didn't have a problem finding the right temperatured pool. The rooms where nice and clean. I really liked that you didn't have a TV. Also they don't have wifi or A/C. Open the windows and get a cool mountain breeze in your room. I enjoyed not having to fall asleep with a constant A/C humming in the background. A huge plus for me is their ecofriendly approach which includes no A/C. They have thermoal heating in the winter, their bedding is ecofriendly and all their electricity comes from the sun. Overall we had a great stay and would go back there / recommend it to others any time.
  • Visited for the hot springs. Great water, laid back atmosphere. I would go back any chance I have
  • This is more family friendly than most hot springs, so if you are a couple without kids looking for less family friendly (like me), this may be a little disappointing. We fortunately had a private pool with our cabin. This is absolutely the way to go. The stream outside suppressed a lot of the family noises and constant slamming of car doors and trunks from the steady stream of visitors. The public pools were lovely on Friday but by Saturday, they were way overcrowded. The cabin was about $200 a night but what we were not told (among other things) is that there was NO maid service. No trash pick up, no new towels, nothing. When I was handed by key, I wasn't even told where the cabin was. There are no explanations given. If you want to know, you have to ask. Then it's the huffy attitude of how could you not know something so obvious. Also, if you think you want to take a hot shower, guess again. You have exactly (we timed it) 4 minutes of not quite luke warm water (only the hot cranked up but barely luke warm water trickling out) and then it's arctic. That's one minute of turning it on, jumping in, and scrubbing your face, one minute of shampoo, one minute of conditioner and one minute to soap your body. Period. Then the water is absolutely freezing ice cold. That being said, it's convenient, relatively cheap, the cabin had a private pool and kitchen and the stream is pretty. I asked my husband if he wanted to return, and his response was "let's check out other hot springs first."
