  • A couple of weeks ago I took a 2-hour pottery class with Elise at Pincu Pottery. Earlier this week Elise mailed me the finished pieces I created (after she glazed and fired them), and I was thrilled with the way they turned out. Many thanks to Elise for being such an excellent teacher. Her instructions were so clear and easy to follow, that even a novice like me could complete several lovely and useful items. The class was a wonderful way to spend an afternoon, and I can't stop telling my family and friends about how much fun I had. Highly recommended!!
  • The pottery class was the most fun. I enjoyed every minute of it and am looking forward to my next visit to make more. It was a wonderful way to spend time with Rana and let the creative juices flow. It was also a pleasant surprise to see our pieces on FB and I am looking forward to picking up the finished pieces as well as making more. I have been thinking of texture surfaces that I can try. Again, it was so much fun.
  • Add "taking a class at Pincu Pottery" to your to list of things to do when you're in the Bryson City area! My mama and I took a class and we each got to make a few pieces--both handbuilt and on the wheel. Elise is a kind and patient teacher, not to mention a pretty impressive artist! Sure, there's tubing and rafting and fishing and hiking and Cherokee and lots of wonderful things to do in the area, but spending an afternoon at Pincu Pottery tops the list! You can't beat coming home from vacation with your own personal, handmade souvenir!
  • My grandson, Raban and I spent an afternoon with Elise. I had thought he would enjoy it, little did I know HE ENJOYED IT!!! He even thanked me for taking him. We did 2 projects on the wheel and 1 with rolled clay - we have some awesome projects we get to pick up soon and what a great summer memory he has added this year. He is so proud of what he did and can't wait to see the finished project!! A wonderful experience for everyone - thanks Elise!!!
  • My son and I took a class together at Pincu Pottery and had a great time. Elise is very patient and a wonderful instructor. She made us feel like real artists. We each made a couple of projects that we are very proud of. I would recommend Pincu Pottery as another fun spot in the mountains to all of my friends. Regardless of your age or skill, Pincu Pottery is for everyone! Thanks Elise!!!
