  • Train was fine, the Wizard of Oz witch/flying monkey scared the crap out of my 3 year old. I would skip the Wizard of Oz train unless you are die hard fan, otherwise its meh. The munchkins on our train were very sweet and helpful though.
  • We actually had a bad experience that turned great. My one year old got hurt on the train when we first got on before the train departed. We had to get right back off and go to the ER. I'm not going to put what happened on here because I don't want to hurt the railroads reputation, but what I will put is how they treated us after the accident. We were originally there for the 5PM Polar Express Ride but missed it because of the accident and having to go to the hospital. After leaving the ER around 6:45PM, we went back to the railroad where the supervisor of railroad operations was waiting for us. He refunded all our money, upgraded us from coach to first class, gave our kids free pictures with Santa, let us order anything off the menu that we wanted, and made sure we were treated like royalty. The entire staff was very sympathetic and was very concerned about our son's well being and making sure we were still able to have a good time regardless of what happened. Besides all of this, it was a lot of fun, the kids had a blast and I would recommend this to everyone with children. When they say come in you pj's, they're not just talking about the kids, parents too.
  • Historic train in a historic area. Offers an awesome Christmas time trip across Fontana Lake into The Great Smokies.
  • It was a fun experience with live music from two very good guitarists while we rode from the station to our destination.
  • Such a cool place to visit. We rode the Polar Express themed trains in January. Great fun for the entire family!
