  • I'll agree: it's exquisitely designed and kept, opulent and full of fantastic treasures room after room from ancient and modern cultures of many nations, such as full stone tomb entryways, statuary, stained glass, carvings, paintings, jewelry, and so on, though there is something imposing or sometimes grotesque about the place. Perhaps because it was a private industrialist residence, though the things may now be publicly seen? Perhaps the particular symbols chosen in the architecture and ornamentation? An odd combination of ostentation and reserve?
  • This museum is huge and so beautiful, both inside and outside. The design of each floor is unique. There is so much history in this place. Each room is a separate gallery, though a lot of them are not open normally. The view from the top is so amazing! Definitely worth the trip!
  • The tour guide Diane was amazing - she could tell us about every little thing! Glencairn is such a beautiful place, definitely worth a visit.
  • It's like a hidden treasure in the plain sight. Lots of history. There is a guided tour by appointment
  • Rich in history! Special, visiting, Nativity exhibition. Beautifully decorated for Christmas.
