  • No, that's not a typo. The Peek-A-Boo loop leads the hiker "behind the curtain". OK, stupid words, but you can dive practically in the Bryce Canyon. The loop is actually 4 parts. It begins at Bryce Point and leads first down. Already the first part offers fantastic insights, as long as you let it. Unfortunately, there were many hikers, which the own chatter was more important than the nature for our stay again... By the way, the first is also the fourth part, because you come back here. After some time you get into the actual loop. At this point you must decide whether you in the or goes against the clockwise direction. Turn to the left (clockwise) the trail under the edge (RIM). This is especially interesting if you previously have hiked the rim trail. You can get many impressive views of the rock formations, watched from above. The trail leads back up not only down, but also in some places. Sometime (depending on you is as sensual as regards landscape) you will come to a further fork. Here you can decide now whether it continues the loop or one choose another route. It is located at this time near Wall Street, the Navajo loop and the trails through Queens garden. We had decided to get Wall Street first back up and later to enjoy the other side of the loop. It decides at this point to move on the loop, go who again appeals to all the senses and leads hikers through the 'mystical' rock formations in the Park on the third part. You thereby further away from the rim, see but even more fantastic insights and formations. Only drawback: you now must back upwards. At some point, then again to get to the crossing point and embarks on the fourth part of the journey, which is equivalent to the first, now only uphill :-) All in all overwhelming and as already addressed in two parts to walk across. Upstairs you can also on Wall Street, the Navajo loop and Queens garden, but there I repeat myself. From our point of view, one should the loop more morning (from 12:00 noon) or afternoon (15:00) go on. Then, the light is at its most beautiful. And please take time, wants who to be "fit" / nature must enjoy at least others should not bother. From our point of view it should take more time, as is specified in the map from NPS. This mentioned there set times for all trail seem too low to us, but we're :-) hikers By the way, there are even toilets in the middle of the loop.

  • So let me start by saying go backward start at Sunset point-wall street, on to peek-a-boo and end queens Garden and out sunrise point. This is a long trail and there are horses and mules you will have...  more »
  • This is a good little walk and not difficult. There are quite a few holes in the rock to walk through and under - hence the name. Great for photos too.  more »
