Navajo/Queens Garden Loop, Bryce Canyon National Park

#1 of 17 in Parks in Bryce Canyon National Park
Must see · Hiking Trail · Nature / Park
One of many moderate trails, Navajo/Queens Garden Loop remains one of the most popular options for hikers. The Navajo Loop passes through a narrow canyon popularly called "Wall Street"--you'll see why when you go through it. The Navajo/Qeens combo loop offers an easier ascent, allowing you to reach the famed Sunrise Point, then follow another trail back to your car for a satisfying round trip. • We were a little apprehensive about doing this trail but we asked other who completed it and they said do it! So glad we did! We were amazed by the slot canyons, hoodoos, the colors, and the family....  more »
  • We caught the sunrise and decided AM would be a great time to do the Navajo Trail to the Queens Garden Loop. Going down the Navajo Loop is very pleasant and there is shade in places. Coming up is...  more »
  • We parked our car at sunset point at 7:15am and there might have been 20 cars parked (Sunday morning). There was plenty of parking. After enjoying the breath taking views we started our hike around...  more »
  • Probably one of the best hikes I've been on in such a unique climate! It's hot and sunny most days so prepared to bring lots of water. There's a decent amount of areas with good shade but that trail does have some pretty steep inclines. Everything is well marked and the trails were well maintained. Plan to spend the whole day here since there's a huge variety of trails to choose from.
  • One of the most incredible hikes I've ever been on. I took my 7 and 5 year old from sunrise to sunset point which is about 2.5 miles. It took about 1.5 hours with lots of breaks and me running back to pickup the car. The trail is well worn but dangerous for young ones. I held their hands the whole way down and most of the way up. The uphill at the end was tough but totally doable. Enjoy this wonder of the world!
  • Excellent trail and very well worth the time if you and your kids are mature enough to take it seriousness ...but be very forewarned... It is not as easy as many people want to tell you. One of the National Park people underrated it, probably because he never hiked it. There are some areas that are very dangerous (steep gravel slopes with steep cliff at the ends. If you don't mind your step you are going to get hurt. If you have kids with you, this is not a goof off area. The markings between Navajo and Queens Garden are confusing as to which one you should take back. It would be nice if there was a map that was available to be more clear when you get to that point. Overall, do this hike, but be prepared with lots of water, not much shade and if you are elderly or physically handicapped. probably don t do it.
  • This trail is also connected to Sunset Loop (at least that’s where we ended after starting the Sunset Loop). Loved the entire walk and highly recommend for people of all ages.
  • Nice short route (1 hour to do the route down Wall Street and up but the climb up Sunrise) but the climb can be intense at times
