Inspiration Point, Bryce Canyon National Park

4.9
#1 of 6 in Sightseeing in Bryce Canyon National Park
Lookout Tourist Spot
Survey colorful limestone spires and arches from a windswept vantage point at Inspiration Point. A lookout in Bryce Canyon National Park, the point gives panoramic views of the canyon's horseshoe-shaped amphitheaters, which contain naturally formed hoodoos--spires created in limestone due to erosion. You'll marvel at the contorted formations and their graduated color palette, which changes as the light of the day moves across the valley. If you are a bird-watcher, keep an eye out for the extremely rare California condor, which can sometimes be seen in the area. The point is an excellent spot for wildlife and landscape photography. • Nature, once again dazzles us. As in an amphitheatre, the Hoodoos play spectators and the forest has the main role.

  • It is one of the most beautiful views of the Park. We can go by car or shuttle. The colors are exceptional.

  • One word: breathtaking, and like no other. For the best light, come early and watch the sunrise -- it's spectacular and you'll have it all to yourself. Dress warm though, you're high up and temperatures drop during the night!
  • I chose Inspiration Point to photograph the sunrise over snow covered hoodoo's and canyons. I was not disappointed but having stood at the edge waiting for the sun to show itself I nearly froze myself! I didn't pack any heavy cloths for my trip to Vegas so I was very unprepared for the morning chill as I decided to drive here just for a few pictures. I loved it (once I thawed out) and would like to come back and include some of the other close national parks in the deal.
  • So glad we asked the park rangers where to go for the best views at Sunset. The angle of the sun hits the canyon best from inspiration point. Don't miss it if you are in search of the iconic Bryce Canyon photos and memories
  • Sunrise here is incredible. A must see, and one of the most beautiful places on Earth
  • Do not miss this point. One of the most spectacular views you will ever see. Loved the natures amphitheater.
