  • it was a very nice place to camp, it wasn't open for the season yet but it was so neat and clean and lots of places to park your camper.  more »
  • It's been years since I've been here. And obviously it's been years since they have done any up keep. Very disappointed in how things look. Really expected something more Maintained.  more »
  • Great place for family fun. Check out the huge lodge for big gathering. Can even stay the night as a big group. Check out the lake. Bring a kayak and boat and jet ski and use the grills provided. Kept...  more »

  • I've gone here every November for several years to stay in one of the 2-person cabins. I love it. I've had a few mishaps. My friend had a mouse in her cabin one year, have had to escort out a few spiders and scorpions, and we had a bit of a gray water back up in the shower one year. But it's rustic and so you expect a few things like this. The staff was very fast to come in and fix the shower issue while we went on a morning hike--so it was handled quickly and well. I recommend reservations, though, because one year they winterized a number of cabins, for example. Just some realistic expectations and common sense planning make it a fun stay. Great hikes, pretty lake, super well outfitted CCC cabins (compared to any park around) that are very private. Guests have always had a great time as well. Wildlife use the cabin trails, so I have almost always seen deer, fox, raccoon, even skunk and ever-elusive armadillos. A few years have seen wild turkey. :D
  • This campground is lovely, the facilities are clean, and the staff helpful. We've camped before without incident. However, please be warned that as of this review, some areas of the park have Crazy Tawny ants, an invasive species that will get into EVERYTHING. If you're camping, it's worth bringing insect repellant to put or spray around your tires, power cords, tent, etc. to keep them out of your living space. We'll camp there again but will arrive better armed.
  • The cabins are quaint and we loved the album they left in the cabin for guests explaining the history of the park.
  • Great swimming, camping, lodging, and RV areas. Accommodations for everything.
  • Wonderful place to make some memories
