  • Not to be missed! We went to the set from 9 (fewer people, more than local), mass. takes 1 h 30 (30 min sermon the rest with songs) but and there is no time past. The place looks more like a concert than to a Church Hall, but the emotion that emerges from this ceremony is amazing. It is carried by the songs, invited to participate (the lyrics of the songs are written and taken on different screens), hailed by the regulars. One of my best memories in NY

  • Huge church or rather room-auditorium, on 2 levels with TV and words marching on, heart composed of hundreds of singers whose voices "lead" 3-4 are so good that they put you creepy... Very communicative, surrounded by people praying between 2 songs. Count 45 minutes of songs and 1 h preaching then. You can slip away after the songs (this is what we're doing a lot of tourists when we were there) in this case put you pretty rear and near a driveway not to obstruct the faithful. We made the choice to stay and share a little longer this time with residents of Brooklyn and we have not regretted it! The posted photo was taken before the start of the song. Out of respect for the faithful we had no photos nor films once the songs started.

  • The best church there is in NYC. Cymballa (spelling?) has an AMAZING way of speaking that gets across to everyone from every background. He was able to get my friend who grew up Catholic and stopped attending church when a child to want to come to church! We bring our friends now. Very non-judgmental. I must say I like it better as well than any other church I attended when growing up Christian. I learn something helpful each week that I can apply to my daily life. Thank you for sharing the message of love to the lost and those who lack hope or faith!
  • I visited (from London) on a Tuesday for a prayer meeting and was not disappointed. They actually stand in agreement and pray about every single prayer request (printed on small sheets and handed to every attendee including the choir) that had come through on their website. There is power in prayer. Before the mains service begun, ministry leaders prayed for anyone who had specific prayer requests. Music was good and a powerful prayer session. i got the metro/subway and it was a short walk
  • It has been a life long dream of mine to go to this church and it was amazing. Not only is the Word of God preached, but the presence of the Holy Spirit and the kindness of the people were overwhelming. I encourage you to visit if ever in the area. I certainly will go back when in New York! Blessings to you Brooklyn Tabernacle.
  • I wife and I visited that church and we really liked it. People from church are friendly, the music was very nice and the church seemed biblical to us! PS: just to set expectations, The Brooklin Tabernacle is a internacional church. So, if you are going there because you want to see an Afro-American Christian Service, it's better to visit a church on Harlem.
