See diverse marine life at New York Aquarium, an urban wildlife oasis. The aquarium is among the oldest of its kind in the United States, and it displays marine species from all over the world. You can also see coral reefs, penguins, piranhas, sea otters, and many more creatures. In good weather, the aquarium's sea lions and their trainers perform daily shows for the visitors. Additional entertainment is provided by the aquarium's 4-D cinema. All attractions are available with general admission. For an additional fee, you can park at the aquarium's parking lot, but the complex is also easily accessible by bus and subway. This place is undergoing a major transformation. It's not bad, especially for the cost, but wait until construction is complete and this place will be amazing. The sea lion show was fun and very inter... read more »

Well kept even though under construction. Fair price (11.95) for the moment but anticipate once construction has completed that prices will increases dramatically. Sea lions appear healthy and the staff encourages environmental consciousness. I would go again.
In all honesty. I love this aquarium I grew up coming here when I was little for school trips so it has some type of impact towards me. Especially the sea lions. But I must say the constuction does give it some complication to enjoy the whole place but I know once everything is settled it will be like if nothing occurred. 👌🏼
Had a fun day with family, but the aquarium seemed lacking. They're apparently still rebuilding in the aftermath of Sandy and you can definitely tell. It didn't feel like there was much to look at fish wise, and the shark tank was pretty depressing (with promises of a great new one under construction). The live show with the sea lions was pretty good. The staff seemed really into it. If you're nearby anyway it's worth a stop, but definitely not worth the trip if it's your only destination. Look forward to it's future though. Hope to head back after the construction.
Do not spend your money here. Very poorly kept. Staff is rude. Under construction. So virtually nothing to see other then a few tanks. We went in and out in less than 30 minutes. Disappointed.
Maybe it's because it was under construction but this aquarium was tiny and I literally saw everything in like 30 minutes. The sea lion show took up most of the hour (or so) that i was there. This zoo is mainly for children I think because it's kind of a joke... no offense. But great for children. Not suited for teens or adults though, you'll get bored for sure.
