  • There’s some stalls, there’s some street food, there’s lots of people. The Fort Greene Flea is no better and no worse than most other flea markets. I can’t give it higher praise (here or in my own hea...  more »
  • I love this type of district activities, shared photos will give you the details, so I'm not going to write. Old, new food, furniture, clothes, records, pictures, carpets ... There's everything the city, but it's not so cheap, you have to negotiate.

  • Unpredictable selection of crafts and knick-knacks, but that's what makes Brooklyn flea great. There are a couple of cool record vendors to check out and chat with.
  • The food is delicious. Items a bit expensive but you can get great finds
  • Not really worth it if you're a tourist, but you might find something nice if you're into antiques.
  • Nice market with an interesting assortment of clothes, curios, and art to peruse. Also some food trucks and artisan food producers as well. Nice way to spend a couple of hours.
  • Amazing flea market. Plus good food vendors. Things like this are a reminder of how much I love Brooklyn.

Where to stay in Brooklyn

To enjoy views of the Manhattan skyline and have easy foot access to most of the borough's major attractions, stay in Brooklyn's downtown area. The borough's main tourism district, this area offers both luxurious accommodations for visitors wishing to splurge during their stay, as well as more economical lodgings for those traveling on a limited budget. If you don’t mind driving or taking the subway to most tourist sites, consider one of the neighborhoods outside Brooklyn's central area, such as Williamsburg or Prospect Park.
