  • It would be enough to see it from the outside, is that its strong point in my opinion. It is shaped like an open book, with the front decorated with splendid gilded carvings that reflect literary themes (I recognized only Moby Dick unfortunately). Inside has a very large lobby and reading room just as great, plus one additional media room only. The wet spot.

  • The facade of the building catches the eye with its beautiful architecture and art. The library collection is pretty diverse and the staff are helpful and attentive.
  • I loved most the well thought out phrases on the building itself .. they were very thought provoking and made you spend some actual time digesting them ...... this building really just makes you stop ...  more »

  • Last I checked, you can get amazing pies here. Also, the building is supposed to look like a partially opened book from the top view
  • Best library ever. Beautiful atmosphere, great selections. There's a well-stocked young adult section that my little sister loves. Definitely something for everyone here, and don't forget to visit the little café inside, as the pie and coffee are delicious.
  • Amazingly large library. Great public space to educate yourself, meet a friend, do work or borrow new material. Best thing is they are open everyday!! Also when the weather is nice you can sit outside and do work on the outdoor seating with tables. Free wifi. The bathrooms are a bit stuffy, typical of public restrooms but there's some on the 3rd floor as well. Really great place, everyone is friendly and helpful.
  • Crowded for computer sometimes. I have not had a chance to go into library for a long time. This visit is for the nycid wish me luck
  • It's a wonderful place to study. Very few libraries still have a good book selection as this one. Librarians aren't very nice though.
