  • We came to work in this library. The place is nice, fast wifi, respected calm. The toilets were relatively clean. The small café in the lobby staff was vulgar and little educated. On the side of literature, it's the shame level French books. For the rest, everything was fine.

  • I really like this library! The 3rd floor is a great place to study in peace and quiet. They have lots of amazing events that are artistic and educational. It can get very very busy, but you’ll just need to focus and it will be fine... there’s a computer room, children’s area, Brooklyn collection, passport center, and many other amazing things.
  • IDNYC Staff were extremely courteous, friendly knowledgeable and very helpful. The entire experience was very speedy and efficient. The online appointment and on location electronic buzzer that reduced queue time were exceptional service tools to help ease new customers through the process. Excellent team and wonderful people managing the process. Thank you!
  • One big library with lots of books on many subjects to read and borrow. Quiet places to use laptop and work. You can also get your passport photos here. Book drop off. Many classes given here. Great place to relax on a rainy day.
  • The security is a joke! They treat the homeless with alot of disrespect. It's a interesting building by the way.
  • Wow! What an incredible place. There are events with celebrities like Pharell, music, and movie screenings in the Dweck Center in the basement. Plus there are 3 flrs of computer labs at your disposal. There are also language classes, ( jap , fr, etc.), Workforce1 for job readiness/placement, and loads of other things to keep an entire family having fun. Definetly recommended for all family members. There's also the Botanical Garden right next door. Plus the Brooklyn Museum next door to that.

Where to stay in Brooklyn

To enjoy views of the Manhattan skyline and have easy foot access to most of the borough's major attractions, stay in Brooklyn's downtown area. The borough's main tourism district, this area offers both luxurious accommodations for visitors wishing to splurge during their stay, as well as more economical lodgings for those traveling on a limited budget. If you don’t mind driving or taking the subway to most tourist sites, consider one of the neighborhoods outside Brooklyn's central area, such as Williamsburg or Prospect Park.
