  • A revolution that the manufacture of beer in the United States. I remember these insipid beer of 20 years who monopolized the market there, well it's over! It's rather disconcerting to find frequently in a bar in any case large cities, not knowing what to choose so the choice of beer from micro-breweries is enormous. In fact this isn't in the USA that I tasted my first "Brooklyn Brewery", but in Europe! So is this still a microbrewery taking into account their success and their international success? Well Yes... as compared to the giants of the beer, it is not really comparable in size. "Brooklyn Brewery" is as you can imagine in Brooklyn. Visit possible and highly recommended because already the place is highly friendly, this visit is very interesting and especially the possibility to enjoy their very large selection pressure. In the corner of Williamsburg, a rather well integrated factory in local architecture because it was such old buildings. Hangar one accessed by a large red on the side door. Once inside large vats and a counter for a free ticket for the visit, buy tokens in advance to the consumption of beer or even the classic "merchandising" with all possible and imaginable t-shirts, as well as multiple accessories. Then a huge industrial room perfectly structured with the bar at the bottom and a series of tables to eat. The atmosphere is fantastic, everyone consumes in a good mood and without excess. We'll kindly tail without too much wait to be served one of the beers displayed on the large slate over the counter. As it can be seen, the choice is really beautiful and also very varied. Once served there will be still a little difficult to find a seat, but with a little perseverance, you should get there. The alternative is to stand around one of the barrels and possibly wait for the visit. I will recommend to taste a few beers an hour, which will give you an idea of the time at which you take the ticket to the tour which takes place every 30 minutes. The guide, which seems to be one of the founders will succeed to share his passion with this long history of the brewery, which began with the founder who initially was a war photographer and stationed in the Middle East, fun to make in their "compound". His return to the USA, he is reconverti converted to the manufacture of beer, found an investor who himself did research with other brewers and now the success is as a part of the production is outsourced to another location and sales are progressing even outside the United States. We also learn that this area of Brooklyn had a large number of breweries before the period of prohibition but these disappeared and never returned. A gamble so for "Brooklyn Brewery" which ends in a success without limits. Once this very interesting tour, you can always return to enjoy one of these very good beers.

  • Visited on a Saturday for the free tour. Really well organised with great staff. The beer is excellent and the tour was really interesting.

  • I used to love going to this place in the early 2000s. Now it's not as good. Gets super duper crowded with Millenials who seem to be getting drunk fit the first time. Fresh beer. Usually 4-5 choices. Get pizza delivered here. Don't think you'll get a table for happy hour if you show up after 6:30pm.
  • The beer is great. Good staples as choices and the quality and freshness was what you'd expect. Staff was friendly and quick. The big downside is the setup of this place: you wait in a line to get in, then wait in a line to get tokens, then wait in a line to exchange those tokens for beer. Could they have a more convoluted process? The tables and seating might as well not exist as the place is over-crowded and, as other reviewers note, full of drunk twenty-somethings. Bottom line: If you're a grumpy old person - prepare to be unhappy. If you're a drunk twenty-something - prepare to wait in line to get decent beer surrounded by your peers and frowning old(er) people.
  • This brewery was awesome, great selection of beers. The bartender was cool and helpful. The beer tour was cool too. Overall great atmosphere to drink with friends and to get drunk.
  • I don't even like beer; came with some friends... I thought the place was pretty cool, and despite hating every beer I drink, the Yuka (fruit beer) was easily drinkable! Only negative is the seating availability. There's no place to sit; they could easily rearrange the place to maximize seating.
  • Great free tour! The tour guide was knowledgable and hilarious. Really enjoyed the experience despite the long line and throngs of people. The next time I go will definitely be during the week.
