  • This place looks very basic from the outside but wow it really is a hidden gem! I always come out with some knickknack or of course a book. Great selection of kids books too
  • One of my favorite bookstores in the Boston/Cambridge area, Brookline Booksmith has well-curated fiction and non-fiction tables on the ground level and a great sprawl of used books in the basement as well, including genres such as science fiction, fantasy, comic books, and Y/A. It also hosts pretty neat authors from time to time - Jonathan Safran Foer, Jodi Picoult to name a few. My only complaint is there's no loyalty card!
  • Best book store! Large selection, and good non-book items. The staff us nice too, and they seem happy to be there. Love this place!
  • Great local bookstore with a large selection. They also have lots of good events with visiting writers and other activities.
  • Amazing place. You can easily spend the afternoon here. Pure joy. Grab a coffee outside then come back. The crowd is also erudite.
  • Best local bookshop. They have a fantastic, well lit and organized used book section downstairs. Upstairs along with many books and remainders they also have a lot of gift items - many cards and small things like jewelry, travel accessories, socks, art supplies, random kitchen gadgets. I only wish they had some comfortable seats to sit in but the space is already quite cramped as it is.
