  • This is a place for a leisurely afternoon alone or with family. Not "exciting", just places to stroll and rest, including large goldfish pond, greenhouse, herb garden, nature path. On weekends, great ...  more »
  • Great escape from the city. Wonderful view of the Hudson River. Beautiful flower exhibition of cacti
  • The Bronx is always one of my favourite places to spend time in when visiting NY. I love it's parks and historic houses. I'd heard of Wave Hill and seen photos online but this was my first time visiti...  more »

  • Great place to bring the kids. Lots of activities. And best of all free on Saturday before noon. Even parking was free if park down the hill and take free shuttle bus in. Surprising how great it all was and we didn't spend a dime that day. Will surely go back many times this summer.
  • Really amazing place, I work with a program called TreesNY and I got to help mulch a trail. They really care about the plants and the environment, really nice well groomed place. Lots of pokestops, all within walking distance, picked them up 5 times on my lunch break. Many different plants, lots of caring workers who want to give you information, just a great place! Also free on certain days.
  • The grounds and views are amazing! Small cafe with limited selection and a little pricey but it is on the premises. We got in for free since it's before noon on Tuesday, but parking has a price, if you can get a space. Perfect place for peace and quiet or a quaint little picnic.
  • Like a Mini NY Botanical Gardens. Two large and amazing old estate homes. One use for cafe and art, the other for art. Nice shop in central building. Greenhouses. Small formal garden areas, pergolas and vines. The best part can be sitting on chairs placed in the shady areas of the lawns while reading a book or gazing at the Hudson River. On July and August Wednesday's they have Sunset Music events. Tough to find, but they run shuttles - check the website or call for info.
  • amazing park. The entrance is free Saturday's till noon.
