Welcome to New York's favorite neighborhood for all things Italian. The Belmont District Management Association (BDMA) is a designated New York City Business Improvement District (BID). A BID is defined as:Make Little Italy in the Bronx a part of your Bronx vacation plans using our Bronx travel itinerary maker.
“… a formal organization made up of property owners and commercial tenants who are dedicated to promoting business development and improving an area’s quality of life. BIDs deliver supplemental services such as sanitation and maintenance, public safety and visitor services, marketing and promotional programs, capital improvements, and beautification for the area – all funded by a special assessment paid by property owners within the district.”

This is the real deal - skip Little Italy in NYC. The Food, Oh the food... Specialty food stores, butchers, cafés, bakeries, etc. The restaurants... Have a sandwich from Casa Della Mozarella. Find (just ask) Mike's Deli. Have a pastry and a coffee.

The ever so famous Little Italy, right here in the Boogie Down Bronx. So many eateries, high class mind you. So many local shops selling goods you rarely find anywhere else such as bakeries, wine shops, specialty food markets, etc. I recommend having a slice or two at Full Moon Pizzeria or having a wonderful seafood dish at Blue Mediterranean Restaurant.
Really nice area. So many places to eat. Just make sure you don't make the wrong turn and end up in some of the really bad surrounding neighborhoods.
