  • If you live in West Texas, or are travelling through Sweetwater or Abilene, carve out a couple or more hours to enjoy this amazingly-reconstructed frontier fort from the pre and post Civil War days.

  • It is extremely thorough and really does a great job of speaking to the time period with a current lense, for instance re Native Americans
  • What a wonderful way to spend a day. The tour was the outstanding.
  • History is still being made here. Talk to the actual people who rebuilt parts of the fort. They tell you how it was done. Buy the book and visit with the author. Want to know about the history of the ranch, they're still here. Excellent museum !!!
