  • Beautiful area, lots of places to sit and enjoy the area. Places to picnic, walk, and just chill along the water. Definitely worth the stop.  more »
  • This was my second trip visiting Colt State Park on a bike. I can now say riding into the water view reveal feels 100% breathtaking each time. The park wasn't too crowded, but even so, those who I...  more »
  • We enjoyed our brief visit to this park while vacationing in Newport. There is a wonderful paved path that follows the shoreline and can be combined with other trails through the woods. Though it...  more »
  • Love this place. The water is right there with beautiful views. There are trails along the water. You can catch crabs during low tide. Dogs are welcome. You can tell they maintain the park. My only complaint is that if you live on the other side of the I-way it's a fairly decent drive coming through Bristol which can have a decent amount of traffic at times. Over all one of the best state parks.
  • Wonderful place to come and relax while taking the sights in on a nice summer sunset evening. Take a walk, have a picnic, grill some meat, lay in the lush grass, stop by and fish if you want, or simply just jump in the water to cool off. There is something for everyone here.
  • A beautiful gem of a State Park. Amazing water views, great easy biking and walking trails throughout the park. A long fishing pier, a boat ramp with extensive trailer parking. Many shaded picinic sites with water views and picnic tables in great shape. I briefly had a opportunity to speak with a Ranger who was very responsive to my questions. Who also made a few recommendations towards questions about the area in general. 1 good bonus lots of well maintained facilities around the park. If you're looking for a nice day trip, this is a beautiful location. My recommendation would be to arrive early, I'm sure it fills up. Enjoy.
  • Plenty of clean open space for picnics, walking, and visiting with family and friends! We enjoyed the blue sky and the breeze. Some played volleyball, others brought board games. We brought our little dog and enjoyed a walk on the beach. πŸŒžπŸ’œπŸŒΌπŸ¦‹πŸŒΊπŸŽ‰β£οΈπŸ’₯
  • Absolutely beautiful! My ONLY complaint is a group came in after us and blared their music with no consideration for others. The day was perfect and the kite festival was there. Lots to see.... people watching. Very relaxing until the music but outside of that, it was wonderful.
