  • We love Lake Superior!! And we love the quiet little town Of Brimley, even though there isn’t really much to do. We like the location because we can go to Sault Sainte Marie or head west to miles...  more »
  • We love to travel to the state parks this time of year. Just drive in, pick out your spot, then self register. Usually they have a list of incoming guests taped to the window to help avoid you...  more »
  • For all the camping we do in Michigan I do not know how we missed this one. Brimley is a beautiful and peaceful state park located on Whitefish Bay, Lake Superior. No sites are located on the water...  more »

  • A beautiful campground settled into the trees with wide and level lots, clean washrooms, and friendly staff. Take a walk in the forest around the sites and check out the birches and stream. A nice picnic area and little beach too. Oh, and make sure to get your firewood and groceries in town before getting to the campground and ask for directions to get your water. It's not available at every site. But we absolutely loved our time there with family and pets and will definitely return.
  • This is a very nice campground. Lots are very generous in size, and the shoreline is beautiful. Unfortunately the bathrooms leave a lot to be desired. They are not cleaned very well. Appears just a quick spray bottle cleaning. We stayed for 4 nights, and the same dirty diaper was on top of the shower stall the whole length of our stay. If it weren't for the bathrooms, would definitely give it a 5 star rating.
  • This is a nice park on the Lake Superior shore. We had our family gathering here and reserved 6 sites: 3 in a row, and the 3 across from them. However, as we arrived at the park throughout the afternoon, we were told that our reservations didn’t exist. There was much confusion, as there is very poor cell service and we couldn’t communicate with the other family members who had not yet arrived. Eventually it was discovered that the park management had changed our sites and we were spread out over about a quarter mile. The staff were brusque and unapologetic; a bad day, perhaps? The showers were nice and hot and didn’t go cold without warning. The ladies restroom was out of toilet paper in 3 toilets for the first 2& a half days we were there. We finally went to the office to tell them. I would actually recommend this park. The things that were wrong could and do happen anywhere but I give it only one star because of the confusion on trying to enter the park and then finding out we were assigned different sites.
  • Sites were large but very close. No grill or grate on fire pit for cooking. The roads were kinda narrow for large trailers. The bathrooms were absolutely disgusting covered in bugs (alive and dead) and mud. Location was great. Nice little private beach area with clean water. WalMart and the border were 15 min away. Local small grocery store right outside the gate for immediate needs. Campers were respectful and quiet during quiet hours. Lots of dogs. Beach area is not dog friendly. Playground equipment was nice. Old fashioned metal slide and newer towers. My kids from 2-11 enjoyed it.
  • Great weekend and great place. First time here. Reserve a camp site adjacent the water for sure! Makes all the difference!! Very pet friendly indeed too.
