  • We arrived at 8:30 in the evening--so it was late in the day and had the guide assign us a spot. We were shocked to see such a large park--they had a large flat grassy area with over 200 spots. It was...  read more »
  • This is a nice campground with reasonably spaced sites. There is electric hookups and a dump station and place to put water in your trailer. Very quiet. Lake Superior is right there with a nice long b...  read more »
  • This park is on Lake Superior in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Beautiful views on the beach. The restroom & shower house were clean and roomy. The sites are very close together, with no privacy in ...  read more »
  • Fantastic campground. The amenities were all new and the staff was very helpful. All new looking picnic tables and nice fire pits. The bathrooms were clean and much nicer than I expected for a campground. The staff were extremely nice and helpful as well. Beautiful sites right on the water! Great sunset view!
  • Great getaway, true north park! Friendly, clean, and a great base camp for your eastern U.P. explorations! Check out the Soo (dining, lock tours, shopping), White Fish Point, and lighthouses. Don't forget to simply relax and enjoy the park, itself! (Cell phone reception is sketchy, and some services rate data as international "thinking" you're in Canada. But who needs phones? You're camping!)
  • Horrible place for people in a tent. The campground is filled with loud and ugly rvs. It rained, and I camp alot and can deal with rain, the problem here is the sites flood for campers. We had 2 inches of water surrounding the tent and firepit. We couldn't do anything and had to pack up soaking wet. The staff was completely unhelpful and did not seem to have any concern for our flooded site. We got some refund, but the flooding shouldn't have occurred to begin with. Poorly built sites. On a good note- the beach was very clean. There is an Iga right at the entrance for food.
  • You cannot beat the views off Whitefish Bay from Brimley State Park. There is also a lot to do if you want to set up camp and tour the area. You are only about 25 minutes from the Sault St. Marie locks, so a tour there is a must. You can also do day trips to Tahquamenon Falls or Whitefish point. The park can get completely filled on summer weekends because it is loved by Canadians as well, so be sure to book a site. It is the most popular state park in the UP as it is the warmest water in Lake Superior. The sites are pretty tight and I would suggest that if you have a big rig, park it in the center sites as those toward the water are not very deep, and you can just walk there anyway, the park is flat and it is not like your have more than 4 - 6 more steps. Nights can get loud there as people don't tend to respect quiet hours during the summer due the crowds, so plan on a midnight bedtime - but that works because you can stay up to see the Northern Lights. If you want to camp and bring a jet ski or boat with a group of family and friends, this is the spot for you. If you want a quiet UP getaway - try Van Riper or Bewabic State parks, or book later into September.
  • Great views of Lake Superior ,family-friendly and easy to get in and out with your camper.
