  • We were staying in Park City and a couple at the bar had just returned from Mirror Lake in the Wasatch National Forest. They raved about it. It was about an hour drive there, but the drive is the best...  read more »
  • We kept stopping to take photos. Fantastic weather and skies. Everywhere you look is beauty. The fall colors were just fabulous. Glowing reds and salmons.
  • Had a day to spare and thought I would head out and see some sights close to Salt Lake City. Boy, am I glad that I did. Definitely not disappointed. I could have just kept going and going. It was abou...  read more »
  • I grew up around the Uinta National Forest and I love it up here so much! The mountains and rivers and lakes all combine for a spectacular scene of mountain wilderness. There is literally wildlife everywhere! Camping up in this national forest is an experience you do not want to miss. Not to mention the fishing is great too!
  • Some of the most breathtaking and picturesque mountain areas anywhere. Its very well-kept and clean, with camping, fishing, hiking and every other type of forest-related activity available. Definately one of the best parts of Utah.
  • Mid-October and aspens are beautiful, gold in places and brilliant yellow in others. Cascade Springs serene. Completely different views in morning and evening as sun moves.
  • My heaven on earth, The Notch Mountain trail is one of the most scenic beautiful trails I've ever hiked ! I like to start my hike at the Crystal Lake parking area the trailhead which goes towards Wall Lake 1 mile, Ibantik 3 1/2 miles & Meadow lake 5 miles. It's great for all levels of Hikers, ideal if this is your first solo hike as it doesn't go so far into the Uintahs that you feel it might be a little scary for you. You won't feel this way because of all the beautiful Lakes enroute on this trail. Take the whole loop as it spans roughly close to 10.5 miles. Perfect for a weekend or long weekend hiking trip as you camp along many of the lakes. Tons of good water available to filter as you go, as there is a stream & many lakes I didn't list, that line this trail.
  • Some of the best lakes in the country!
