  • Definitely a hidden treasure in Rochester , a very nice secluded Park despite its proximity to houses and major roads. Definitely a section of woods you can get lost in, while in the middle of a city. The area is full of history, waterfalls, and unexpected little tunnels. Due to the fact that so few people know about it it tends to be more empty; usually filled with locals. Be warned however the park is not very big in comparison to other local parks, and the majority of trails are groomed so that anyone can walk them. The natural layout makes it feel as though it is large and sprawling, despite its size.
  • Gorgeous and giant park surrounding the canal. Nice little break from studying at the U of R or Strong Memorial Hospital. Picnic areas. Playgrounds. Green beyond belief. Running/biking trail that goes from downtown to Pittsford (maybe beyond, that's as far as I've ever made it) I've heard you can't actually swim in the canal which is a bummer as Rochester seriously lacks a body of water to swim in when it gets hot in the summer.
  • Wonderful place to go for a scenic walk / hike. The trails are relitively flat and they wind around an amazing creek that has a small water fall. Parking is a nightmare, but worth it. There are two entrances to the park. One off of Penfield Road and the other off of RT 441 in a residential neighborhood, park on Penfield Road.
  • Autumn Fall Adventures took us outside to Corbett's Glen Park for Fall Foliage Hikyoga. I have always passed by this park, but never had the opportunity to explore it. The park itself is spectacular, with man-made built trails to walk on that doesn't interfere with the land. Hikyoga is an awesome outdoor yoga session lead by owner Nicole who will take you to a variety of parks/destinations. Nicole is an awesome yoga instructor as I have attended many of her sessions, and she is super-hot which is also a bonus. The class gets started with a fast-paced walk along the trails of Corbett's Glen, where eventually we would be stopping at a local tee-pee for some yoga poses. It was cool doing yoga in front of a tee-pee because it reminded me of being in that movie Pocahontas crying to that blue corn moon. Along the trail we ran into rough hilly terrain leading all the way to some really cool waterfalls in the end I had no idea existed out in Penfield. Also exploring the trail, I realized this is a great park to meet people, and will be back when the weather improves. Doing Yoga by the waterfalls/creek beds was quite a relaxing experience, even at moments where I was in the wrong Yoga pose. Afterwards, you feel an uplifting work-out, and ready to get into your Halloween costume for the next event. Overall: A Fall Fun Night Out, Hikyoga with Nicole, Don't Go Chasing Waterfalls, Yoga by the Tee-Pee, and Corbett's Glen Park....I Will Be Back.
  • Beautiful little park for a great afternoon hike. The small falls are also nice!
