  • I went for a visit today and got some interesting pictures which I posted to Google Maps. I also got to see a hawk catch a chipmunk and eat it for dinner. He ate the whole thing. The water was flowing pretty well and I saw a mom with her little girl walking in the creek. It looked like they were enjoying themselves. It was a warm day, very warm considering its the middle of October. The park is a great place to go for a walk. And as you can see there is some wildlife making the best of it there. One of the other visitors told me there were two large snakes in the tree but I wasn't interested in getting their picture. I got to see the hawk and ran out of memory while recording video. It's hard to believe we have such a nice park in the middle of much developed property. This place is a real gem.
  • Wonderful place to visit, especially on hot summer days. Trail is shaded and cool to walk, for the most part it's very easy as well. There's only one smallish valley that can give some trouble if you have sore knees or aren't very nimble. Nothing technical, just a little steep. Stream is perfect for wading through and exploring with slower, shallower spots for small kids.
  • If possible try going to the tunnel entrance. The big brother looks scary, but isn't at all. Go right and you get two choices in paths. One near the water and one a few feet away. Both are great. This side of the park is smaller but it's a nice stroll with a good simple terrain. Very nicely well kept paths. Please respect this beautiful little place.
  • Corbett's Glen is pretty much the perfect hiking adventure to have with smaller kids. It's a smaller park with short level trails that pass by multiple little waterfalls, through pretty grassy fields, lovely forested areas and even over boardwalk clad wetlands. My toddlebeasts and I splashed in puddles, hunted for acorns and through stones in a waterfall. It was a pretty perfect afternoon. Unfortunately parking is rather limited in spots on the street outside the park, although I'm told that there is a larger parking area at the far side of the park. So if you're going on a holiday or weekend afternoon this is something to keep in mind.
  • It is gorgeous here. There are two places to park. A bit away from one another. One seems to be a parking lot (judging by what the signs said.) Then another (where I parked) was down this dead end road with a few houses. The road had signs telling you where parking for the falls started and stopped. Then you walk down and you will see a tunnel. You can follow the path to the falls. There are many small ones and a bigger one. It is kid friendly, and stroller friendly. Definitely a unique and beautiful get away right in Rochester!
