  • Went here on a family ski trip and loved it. We had some young kids with us a 6yr old who had never skied before. He was put in a lesson and was riding the lift before it was even over. They did an ex...  more »
  • First Saturday of Springbreak. This small ski resort has 1 major lift to the top. Lots of snow over last week has created awesome conditions. Nice mogul runs & easy glides as well. Stay for the sunset...  more »

  • My experience has been similar to others posted here. Definitely a a fun mountain with a friendly and welcoming staff. The snow conditions are surprisingly good for a small mountain. While not as challenging as some of the bigger resorts, it offers a little bit of everything for beginners and more experienced skiers. A great mountain for kids. Highly recommended...
  • Shawnee peak is a great! Big enough to get in some decent runs but, not so big you spend a lot of time at the base of the mountain figuring out where everything is. The mountain sports team is excellent. Our boys have been loving the Ski Wee ski school and they have learned so much.
  • I've skied all over the US and parts of France. Shawnee Peak is not the caliber of Aspen, Squaw or Jackson...but it's not trying to be. It's a super fun little mountain with a homey feel and a great atmosphere. They have great programs for kids to get them into skiing, and at night the lights come on and you can shred under the stars. AAAAND it's only an hour and change from Portland. What more do you really need (in the east?)
  • Very accommodating owners. Great community ski hill.
  • Great service, perfectly groomed mountain, amazing skiboots and ski rentals. Good food and drink. A little pricey though! $1300 for a family of 5 for 2 days!
