Cuyahoga Valley National Park follows the Cuyahoga River, allowing visitors to hike or bike one of the many trails that showcase the region's waterfalls, old canals, and forests. The Towpath Trail runs 33.5 km (21 mi) along ravines and past craggy boulders. As you pass what look like typical farms, you'll discover that sections along the trails are recreated 19th- and early 20th-century farmland growing crops from these eras. You'll see several city parks included in the protected lands, many of which have concert and event venues. To tour the park while saving your feet, consider a ride on the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad. Facilities are available at either end of the trails, and a few restaurants and markets offer refreshments, but be sure to bring enough water for hike.
