Where to stay in Breckenridge

Many cabins and lodges take inspiration from the mountains in their design at Breckenridge. If you're there to ski, find a hotel or inn near the slopes that offers ski in/ski out options, or choose lodging along the free shuttle route so you don't have to worry about parking. If you're traveling with a family and are planning to stay a week or so, consider booking a condo or private home with plenty of space to spread out. You'll find small and exclusive bed and breakfasts in the center of town, while sprawling resorts are located away from the main street on the forested mountainside.

  • I love the ski shop is right there and I love riding the gonadal up to Peak 9. Lift tickets are way too expensive. We took several different lifts up; it's not the best mountain I've skied. Wolf Creek...  more »
  • It has been over 20 years since we first visited Breckinridge and we were shocked how much the mountain has changed. Still a great place no matter what season you visit.  more »
  • Breckenridge is a good place to ski, but the lift ticket prices are WAY TOO HIGH. The town of Breckenridge even think they need to tax ticket prices, which is absurd. I skiid Breck several years in a ...  more »

  • We go in the summer for their Epic Discovery Adventure pass where you get to ride the Alpine slide, zip line, Gold Coast Coaster, mini golf, trampoline jump and more. The free gondola ride up is fantastic and gives you scenic views of everything. Don't forget to bring a backpack to carry all your stuff in, sunscreen (9k to 12K+ feet is very sunny), wind breaker/rain jacket and a water bottle. They have bottle refilling stations inside. Colorado is known for it's scheduled afternoon rain showers, so don't be surprised if you get some rain around 2-3 in the afternoon. Once you get up there, you can jump right in to the rides, walk around, hit the bar and have a beer, have lunch or just sit on the veranda and look at the sights. If you are REALLY adventurous, bring your mountain bike and take the chair lift up to the top of the mountain. The ride down is epic. The rides are great no matter what your age and you can ride all day long with their adventure pass. The food is cafeteria style, BBQ or bar and on the pricier end, but still good. If you get hurt, they have an onsite first aid tent that will patch you up. I HIGHLY recommend slowing down on the alpine slide instead of trying to zoom down. Getting your elbows on the ramp gives a seriously bad case of rug burn and takes layers off your skin.
  • This place is amazing, facilities and services were on point. Everyone was very friendly and nice. Had amazing time skiing. Enjoyed the whole stay here. Thank you Ryan for the great service. Highly recommend this place. will definitely be back.
  • When my friend and I went here we had a great time. One of the best memories I've ever had. Some of the best skiing we've ever done and a great town right next to the base of the ski path.
  • Fun to ride the FREE gondola up to the top, eat lunch, people watch. But I would advise to bring your own food/drink or LOTS of ca$h! $18.00 for 2 beers!? OUCH!
  • This is simply a phenomenal resort. The mountain is huge (5 peaks) and very nicely laid out -- for example, Peak 7 has all blue runs and Peak 10 has all black runs. The lifts are large, fast, and get you where you need to go. There are lots of terrific, wide, great cruisers. Excellent mountain. We love Breckenridge!
