  • Did some research on ski rental in Breckenridge for our family trip. Found Blue River Sports and used their website. It's a local ski shop rather than a chain and the variety of discounts they offered...  more »

  • Great board shop, I went there to demo a few boards to choose which board was the right match for me. They let you swap out as many times per day as you'd like. The staff was really helpful and knowledgeable and wanted feedback on the riding experience of each board to help future customers. After 3 days of demos, I was very happy with the board I had chosen and decided to purchase it. The demo prices were very reasonable and the retail price of the snowboard I bought was the same as online discount prices.
  • Knowledgeable attentive staff, new equipment and better prices than rentals just across the street. I've been skiing for over 40 years but only able to get out here once a year, at best. Still I've tried a lot of ski rental options and this seems to be the best for Breckenridge which is where I've been coming for the last few years. Only down side might be the small parking lot in front.
  • Blue River Sports accommodated our group of 10 with complete ease! We were in and out in less than 30 min. We had an issue with someone accidentally taking someone snow board, they helped re-fit and get him back on the slopes with complete courtesy. If you want great equipment at a great price rent from BRS! We are glad we did!
  • Easy in and out process. Can't beat the prices. Friendly and knowledgeable staff.
  • Pretty much the whole street (across from the Peak Nine base) is lined with gear rental places, so you have your pick. This place was busy, with a bit of a line when we went in to rent, but once you get started it moves quickly. They have a boot platform where you stand with the staff at foot-level so they don't have to bend to reach your feet, which is a bit awkward, but more efficient I think. They had a couple of boot styles, so you basically have to hope one of the two works in your size, but it seems like they tend to. Then you move on to get your skis. Less than ten minutes to actually rent. Very quick to return, just give them your name and drop your stuff by the counter. Decent equipment, although it seemed really heavy, and the performance equipment weren't the wide skis made for powder. Very friendly staff, and they seemed competent. You can reserve equipment online, which might make the rental process to go faster, and it gets you a little discount, but they had plenty of equipment, so it certainly didn't seem necessary.
