Road Atlanta Reviews
The track is awesome, family friendly, has some good places to sit to see most of the track. A must go to if you’re in the Atlanta area. more »
This is an awesome track. Very technical and really gets the adrenaline pumping. I can hardly wait to come back. If you're a racing fan...get a car and drive this track! more »
If you get a chance to get out on track with your car or bike - you must do it! Amazing race course, tonnes of elevation. Large pit area. Great viewing areas. more »
I’ve run track days here. The walls close to the track will make you need to second guess how hard to push the car. The track to me is the toughest I’ve run and I’ve run all the major tracks in the southeast. It’s a blast though! Clean facilities and easy access to the interstate are a plus!
Iconic track, lots of left AND right turns so NASCAR people may get confused. Could benefit from a full course repave instead of the patchwork in T1, T3, T10a, T10b, and T12 over the past 2 years. Still a great venue and my favorite track; even after 1000+ laps.
Tip - A trip to the main paddock is a must. But bring walking shoes that you don't care about because there is a lot of dust and you will be walking a ton. The best spots for me are 10a/b, the esses at Turn 5 and then turn 7. Turn 7 is one of the slowest parts of the track and you can typically get close to the fence and get a great shot!
As a racer, this track is a lot of fun! A good amount of elevation changes and technical enough to keep any driver on edge lap after lap. The track surface is incredibly smooth and very gentle on tires and brakes. The curbing can be rough in places, but that's kind of what it's there for. The facilities are "good" (see Nelson Ledges for what classifies as 'poor') but the lack of power in the service pits (north side of track) means everyone is running their generator. Also, the track personnel were a little slow checking people in at the gate... but this is the south I suppose.
Road Atlanta is an excellent Race Track for road racing and drifting in Turn 10. The grounds are well kept and really provides a wonderful experience for all
