Chateau Elan Reviews
Very cool place. A bit of a disconnect from the outside Chateau to the more industrial modern look inside. But very enjoyable day spent with a cheese and meat tray and excellent wine tastings. Plan to... more »
Location is really accessible. Very well manicured grounds. Everything for the wedding was very nicely done. The winery and the tasting was excellent. Highly recommend when on the area to visit more »
The winery is the best thing about Chateau Elan. We weren't impressed with anything else, but did enjoy a flight of wine and the tour. The wines are good and have a lot of sweet wines for people that ... more »
WOW! An absolutely fantastic place for the perfect wedding. Super attentive, quick service, and delicious food. It couldn't have been a more perfect day for our daughter. Jessica the wedding planner was kind, helpful and made sure we had everything we needed. I would recommend having someone else to help with the small details but other than that the wedding couldn't have been more perfect.
My daughter and I spent a wonderful weekend at the Chateau. The spa treatments were superb. The gift shop very enjoyable. The Irish Public was so much fun. With a live Irish singer that encouraged diners to sing along. We ordered pub style food and drinks. A perk of the Chateau is the courtesy driver service from restaurant to our hotel. One afternoon our driver drove us to a hilltop at sunset to see it glow over the acres of vineyards. It was a brilliant sight. We give five stars to our fantastic weekend at the Chateau Elan.
First of all coming on to the grounds for the first time I was genuinely stunned. For the average person the resemblance to a castle with the main buildings grey exterior and refined elegance is simply so out of the norm but helps to set the tone for the experience. The elegance continued as when my party made it to the interior we were met with soft live piano music and a slim but delicious selection of foods. The jumbo shrimp held true to its name, the prime rib was cooked to perfection, and the lobster risotto was nothing short of magical. Overall it was some of the best food I've ever had and was worth ever penny.
Very grand resort but when you think about it, there are not that many activities to do. However, just walking around the property was enough for me and my family. Rooms are standard with two single beds, a desk, two chairs, and a wide-screen TV. There are two robes in the room (one in the bathroom and the other in the closet). They are sooo incredibly comfy and I really wanted to take one home. Speaking of comfy, the beds are also incredibly nice. A little high and they give you too many pillows (4 bed pillows -- two soft and two firm --; two large "couch" pillows; and a long pillow), but once you get under the covers, you really don't want to leave at all. All of the staff were very accommodating and courteous. I opted for the buffet version for dinner and though there wasn't much variety in terms of entrees and I wish they had more than one vegetable option, they had a wonderful seafood bar (fresh peeled jumbo shrimo and already-cracked king crab!) and a wide selection of desserts that made up for my initial disappointment. In terms of location, Chateau Elan is right off of the exit on the highway (which I unfortunately can't remember at the moment), with trimmed hedges that spell "Chateau" which made it incredibly easy to find. Plus, there are also road signs on the highway.
I stayed for two nights in a 3-room villa with my mom and 5 sisters. We did a cooking class with Chef Michael Echols the first night, got massages the second day, and ate in the bar the second night. Michael and Martina made the cooking class really fun! We drank wine while we cooked a delicious meal with Michael's guidance. Teresa Davis was my masseuse for the 80-minute aromatherapy massage. It was fantastic! I cannot recommend her enough! The pub was cozy with delicious food and a fun atmosphere. The hotel staff was very helpful and accommodating. For anyone looking for a fun, relaxing time, I highly recommend Chateau Elan!
