  • This is s lovely state park with a variety of things to do. We camped for five nights in campground 1. The section of the campground that we were in was quiet. Campsites have asphalt parking areas and...  more »

  • We came here to bike along the lake on the paved trail and loved it! It looked like a great place to camp so we'll keep that in mind the next time we come.

  • Well maintained docks. Assistance is prompt if an issue arises. Good people, quiet atmosphere. Beautiful views. I'm so glad we decided to lease a slip here.
  • You don't have to go far to get water and waves [from boats]! The water is fairly clean, too (more than the closest ocean beach we've been to, anyway.) Forget the drive to the Gulf Coast, too. There's a nice, paved, shaded walking trail along the lake and plenty of places to get in the water along the shore. My kids love this place. It's a nice getaway close to home.
  • Rented a ski boat and large tube. We had a blast. Entire family smiled and laughed the whole day. Every member of the stage was friendly and very helpful especially the deck staff. They all were patient and clearly answered every question about the boat and lake. I would have scored this experience a five out of five stars except the outside of the boat was kind of slimy below the water level (which is to be expected since the boats never leave the water). Inside if the boat was very clean and in good condition. Boat operated great!
  • Beautiful landscapes. And the lakeshore trail that passes through the state park is absolutely delightful! It has nice picnic spots, pristine small beach, nice lakeside entertainments. Very nice place for hiking, jogging, cycling and for picnic.
  • We rented a pontoon boat from here and it was a great experience. The people working there are very helpful and kind. The boats were clean and functional. The shop at the marina is very nice and has good shopping.
